Katy Perry on Dating Robert Pattinson: 'I Fart in Front of Him'

American pop star Katy Perry has been repeatedly linked with Robert Pattinson since he split with Twilight co-star and former girlfriend Kristen Stewart. However, in an interview with Elle UK, the 28-year-old singer offered conclusive evidence that there is nothing romantic between them.

"Okay, so here's the proof there was never anything going on with me and Robert Pattinson," she told the magazine, "I fart in front of him. Properly fart. And I never, ever fart in front of a man I am dating. That's a rule."

The Teenage Dream singer, who has long been friends with the 27-year-old London-born actor, also revealed the nature of their relationship.

"He's my bud, I'm like his big sister," Perry added, "We just hang out. The other day, I said: 'One of the things I'm most proud of is not sleeping with you, Robert.' And that's true."

Pattinson and Stewart broke up last year after she cheated on him with British director Rupert Sanders. Perry admitted she did contact Stewart when reports surfaced she and Pattinson had become a couple.

"I sent her a text message saying: 'I know you've seen all this stuff but you know I would never disrespect you. I'm not that person. I'm just trying to be a friend to him but it is unfortunate that I do have a set of t*ts,'" she said.

Meanwhile, Perry confirmed she has rekindled her romance with fellow musician John Mayer, after posting a picture of the two hugging on her Instagram account last month.

On a professional front, Perry's much-anticipated new single Roar will be released on 12 August and her third studio album, Prism, will hit stores on 22 October.
