Robert Pattinson Lands Dior Men's Fragrance Deal for £7.4 million: Report
Robert Pattinson has reportedly become the new face of Christian Dior Men's fragrance.
According to report in E online, Pattinson has signed what it described as a "mega-deal" with Dior, worth near £7.4million ($12 million) for three years.
The British actor, currently promoting his latest Twilight film, Breaking Dawn Part 2, will feature in a series of ad campaigns for the men's fragrance collections of the French fashion house.
Pattinson, who has been voted Sexiest Man by Glamour Magazine, apparently likes the brand and was spotted wearing clothes from the French label at the Cannes Film Festival and Teen Choice Awards. He will now join celebrities such as Jude Law, Charlize Theron and Natalie Portman who previously endorsed Dior fragrances.
Meanwhile, his on-off girlfriend and Twilight film co-star Kristen Stewart is the advertising face for one of Balenciega's perfumes..
"Balenciaga has always stood out to me. Even when I first began to consider fashion and admittedly rarely knew the brand I was wearing, I always knew and loved Balenciaga. It feels full circle to be involved with something that spoke to me then and of course continues to excite me now. The brand is just cool. That's the way it is," she previously said, speaking about her relationship with the Spanish design house.
The brand's creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere admitted that the 22-year-old actress was the perfect face for the brand because of her "progressive character".
"Kristen embodies the modernity of the new Balenciaga fragrance with her unique sensibility and intelligence. From her early appearance in Panic Room to her independent choice of Welcome to the Rileys, I've always sensed her progressive character."
Before getting into films, Harry Potter actor Pattinson had been modeling since at the age of twelve and joked to the U.K.'s Closer magazine that he was the most unsuccessful model ever.
"When I first started, I was quite tall and looked like a girl, so I got lots of jobs, because it was during that period where the androgynous look was cool. Then, I guess, I became too much of a guy, so I never got any more jobs. I had the most unsuccessful modeling career," he said.
