Overview
Swiss great Roger Federer has had an easy path so far at the ongoing Wimbledon Championships, beating Guido Pella, Marcus Willis and Dan Evans to reach the fourth round.
While it looks impressive on paper, the reality is that Federer is still struggling from the after effects of his back injury, which has limited his movement on the court. The 34-year-old was famed for his fitness, but with time taking its toll on his body, Federer will find the going tough against better opponents.
With world number one Novak Djokovic being knocked out of the tournament, a lot of fans are backing Federer to win a record eighth title, but he will need to make sure that his body can sustain the strain and pressure.
His opponent, Steve Johnson has been in fantastic form on grass this season, reaching the quarter-final of the Queens Club while also winning the Aegon Championships. Ranked number 29 in the world, Johnson has won eight matches in a row on grass and is capable of causing an upset on his day.
