RCB made it to the second qualifier after knocking the Rajasthan Royals out of the competition on Tuesday (20 May). Despite losing the two openers quickly, a brilliant partnership between AB de Villiers and Mandeep Singh helped their side to post 181.
In reply, the Royals lost wickets at regular intervals before being bowled out for 109 at the end of the 19th over. The latest victory has given Virat Kohli's side a chance to make it to the final later this weekend.
A defeat for the Super Kings against the Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 1 has seen them take on the RCB. Both teams are one win away from sealing a berth in Sunday's final.
A defeat for either side on Friday will end their hopes of winning the 2015 IPL. On the other hand, a victory will see one of them take on the Mumbai Indians in the final at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
