Sam Faiers: The Mummy Diaries - TOWIE star documents motherhood in spin-off ITVBe series
Sam Faiers' partner Paul Knightley reportedly pledged to boycott The Baby Diaries from being aired after watching a preview before its release in February, according to The Mirror, and later garnered widespread criticism for his behaviour and treatment of the former TOWIE star. But Faiers might indeed wear the trousers in her relationship as she has signed up for a spin-off show on ITVBe.
Following the success of the one-off show, The Baby Diaries, which documented Faiers' birth of son Paul Tony Knightley – along with a bizarre scene of Knightley Snr kissing his mother on the lips and prompting a televised debate on Loose Women – the reality star's first taste of motherhood will be captured in the new series, Sam Faiers: The Mummy Diaries.
No stranger to playing her life out in public after her long stint on The Only Way is Essex, where her romances with Mark Wright and Joey Essex were caught on camera in intimate detail, Faiers is once again opening the doors of her home and inviting a camera crew to film her first experiences as a parent. ITVBe viewers will be a fly on the wall to Faiers' highs and lows as a first time mother as she finds her feet and strikes a balance between her glitzy career and home life. We'll witness Knightley struggle with the pressures of newfound fame and join them for a beautiful christening party as we're invited along to each and every milestone.
Thrilled about her comeback to reality television, Faiers said: "I am excited to be doing my own six part series for ITVBe. The feedback from The Baby Diaries was so overwhelming and I am really looking forward to letting the viewers follow me in my day to day life with baby Paul during my first year of motherhood.
"I have so many exciting projects coming up this year, work wise and in my personal life and I can't wait to share them with everyone," she added.
Sam Faiers: The Mummy Diaries, will be a six part 60 minute series produced by Potato, ITV Studios, and the broadcast date is yet to be released.
