Samsung Galaxy S4 Priced at £530 Coming to UK on 26 April

Although Samsung is yet to provide the pricing details for its new flagship smartphone, which was announced on 14 March at the Mobile Unpacked event at Radio City in New York, the UK price for the handset has been revealed.

Followed by the official announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S4, some of the UK network operators and retailers such as EE, Carphone Warehouse, Clove, O2, Phones 4u and Three have confirmed that they will stock the device. They are yet to confirm the suggested retail price but have requested interested consumers to register themselves.

Unlocked Mobile.com has confirmed the pricing of the device. The SIM-free version of the Galaxy S4, as the product page at the site suggests, is available for pre-order at a suggested price of £529. 98 including VAT. Buyers can get the device in both colour options: white frost and black mist. Along with the handset, buyers will get a few goodies for free which come in the box.

The retailer has also mentioned that the first stock of the device is expected on 26 April and consumers placing the pre-order will receive the device the following day. Other UK retailers are yet to announce their pricing.

The Italian price for Galaxy S4 has also leaked: the device is expected to cost € 699 (approximately £600). Moreover, the Galaxy S4 will reportedly carry a price tag of € 599 in Europe (except Italy), approximately £514. The Galaxy S4 is also available for pre-order at Amazon.de at € 649 (including VAT).

Samsung's fourth generation Galaxy S smartphone features a 5in HD Super AMOLED display covered with Corning's third generation Gorilla Glass. The HD display features resolution measuring 1080 x 1920 pixels giving it a pixel density of 441 pixels per inch (ppi). It will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean software once it comes out of the box. The handset has a 13 megapixel rear-camera and a two megapixel front-camera. It is powered by Exynos 5 chip featuring an octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz/1.2GHz. The Exynos 5 integrates PowerVR SGX544MP3 graphics unit and paired with 2GB of RAM. The Galaxy S4 comes in three storage options: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. The device is Near Field Communication (NFC) enabled and supports 4G network speeds.
