Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch sold out ahead of November release – Here's how you can still buy one
Tizen smartwatch pre-orders pulled from official Samsung website citing 'high demand'.
Samsung's Gear S3 smartwatch range has sold out in the UK in under a week since pre-orders officially opened on the company's website. Both the Frontier and Classic variants of Samsung's Tizen-powered wearable are showing as "currently unavailable", with the page citing "high demand" for the suspension of pre-orders.
Hopeful buyers can still submit their details for updates on stock availability, but the likelihood of receiving either smartwatch on its release date of 11 November appears to be slim. Among the lucky few who did manage to snag a pre-order, the first 1,000 customers to put their money down early were promised a free pair of Level active headphones as an added bonus.
Desperate shoppers do have an alternative, however, as smartphone accessory website MobileFun is still accepting orders on both the Gear S3 Frontier and the Gear S3 Classic. Both of the wearables are priced at the RRP of £349 (plus additional shipping charges) and are "due in stock in one week".
It is worth noting that ordering from the retailer may not guarantee a faster delivery date, although it does offer the piece of mind of having an accepted order in place for when stock starts to ship. The official range of Gear S3 straps are also available for pre-order, ranging from £24.99 to £34.99.
