Samsung releases Android 5.1.1 update for Galaxy Note 3 Neo in Russia

Samsung has released the Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) OS update for Galaxy Note 3 Neo users in Russia. Prior to the latest update, the Galaxy Note 3 Neo ran the Android 5.0 operating platform.

According to GSMArena, the 5.1.1 update is available via an OTA and Samsung Kies. The firmware can also be manually downloaded from Sammobile.

• Improved battery life

To manually check for the 5.1.1 OS update, Note 3 Neo users can follow the steps below:

• Drag down the notification bar and tap Settings
• Scroll to the "System" category, and tap About device
• Tap Software update
• Tap Check for updates
• Tap OK
• Select Continue or remind me later, after a customised status message is displayed
• Tap Continue
• Tap Done

A status message will indicate when the installation gets completed.
