Samsung releases Android 5.1.1 update for Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge
Samsung has just issued the new Android Lollipop v5.1.1 for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.
The rollout starts with T-Mobile bound S6 duos in the US. If you live in the firmware supported region, you can manually check for the update from Settings>> About phone>> Software update.
While it is available as OTA, you can also connect your device to the Samsung Kies server and check for it. The following are the firmware details for S6/S6 Edge.

Installing the update on S6 or S6 Edge, you should be able to get the bug fixes and a few new features the new Android version bundles.
These include a simplified exposure control system in the camera, a wallpaper parallax effect and several UI changes such as the option to remove the S Finder and Quick Connect buttons from the notifications' shade. Besides, you should also notice the performance boost.
With the rollout already having started in the US, it should not take too long for it to become available for the international European model.
