Samsung Z1 Tizen-based smartphone expected to be launched during early 2015
Samsung Z1 smartphone is rumoured to incorporate a 4in display
It seems that South Korean technology giant Samsung is releasing budget smartphones before its highly anticipated flagship phone, the Galaxy S6.
According to a Russian web portal, Samsung's next smartphone will be a comparatively affordable Tizen-based Z1 that reportedly incorporates a 4in display.
This smartphone will reportedly cater to the buyers looking at buying their first smartphones, who are on a shoestring budget.
Various technical specifications of the Samsung Z1 Tizen smartphone have surfaced, and according to the available information, the device will incorporate the following key hardware aspects:
- 4in displays having resolutions of 800 x 480 pixels
- 1.2GHz dual-core processor
- Dual SIM-card support
- 768 MB RAM
- 4GB internal storage
- 3MP rear camera
- VGA front snapper
- 1,500 mAh battery
The release date of Samsung's first Tizen-based smartphone was not officially known, but rumour mills are rife about the device getting an early 2015 launch and commercial release.
Along with the above handset, Samsung is also said to be working on a brand new high-end smartphone which is also speculated to get a 2015 launch.
According to the available information at the moment, Samsung's SM-G430 (the new smartphone) will incorporate the following key hardware aspects:
- 5.5in display having a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels
- Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating platform; out of the box
- 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor
Other technical details are yet to surface, but Samsung's SM-G430 will in all probability be a high-end smartphone considering the fact that Samsung's Galaxy S5 failed to live up to its pre-launch hype.
