Samsung's Galaxy devices to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow

While it is no secret that Samsung would be working hard to bring Google's newest Android version 6.0 codenamed Marshmallow to its Galaxy lineup, the manufacturer is yet to provide details about the roadmap and plan for the rollout. With Google already starting the global rollout for its Nexus devices, it should not take too long for Samsung to release its version.

Meanwhile, Sammobile has managed to get a list of Galaxy devices that Samsung has already started working on on the Android Marshmallow software update. Note that this is a preliminary list, and could be changed any time with the addition of more Galaxy devices, considering the previous Android Lollipop version was released for a number of Galaxy phones and tablet.

The list basically contains Samsung's 2014 and 2015 flagship Galaxy models. A bunch of Galaxy S5 variants such as SM-G900F (Eur open), SM-G900V (Verizon), SM-G900H (Eur open), SM-G900FD, S5 LTE-A (SM-G901, Eur open), S5 LTE-A (SM-G906L, LG U+) and S5 Neo (SM-G903F, Eur open) are the ones eligible to receive the latest Android version.

Apart from these, Galaxy S6 variants including SM-G920FD, SM-G920F (Eur open), SM-G920D (NTT Docomo), SM-G920T (T-Mobile), SM-G920A (AT&T), SM-G920P (Sprint), SM-G920V (Verizon), SM-G920I, SM-G920R4 (US Cellular), SM-G920AZ (Cricket), SM-G920R7, SM-G920T1 (T-Mobile), SM-G920R6, SM-G920W8 (Bell Mobility, SM-G920S (SKT), SM-G920K (KT) and SM-G920L (LG U+) are added in the list of Android Marshmallow devices.

Coming to the curved screen version, Galaxy S6 Edge SM-G9250 (China), SM-G925F (Eur Open), SM-G925I, SM-G925Z (Softbank Mobile), SM-G925D (NTT Docomo), SM-G925J (KDDI), SM-G925T (T-Mobile), SM-G925A (AT&T), SM-G925P (Sprint), SM-G925R4 (US Cellular), SM-G925R6, SM-G925W8 (Bell), SM-G925R7, SM-G925V (Verizon), SM-G925K (KT), SM-G925S (SKT) and SM-G925L (LG U+), according to the insider will get the new Android mobile operating system.

Also added in the list are a number of Galaxy S6 Edge+ models such as SM-G928A (AT&T), SM-G928P (Sprint), SM-G928R4 (US Cellular), SM-G928F (Eur open), SM-G928V (Verizon), SM-G928T (T-Mobile), SM-G9287C, SM-G928I and SM-G928C. As for the Note series, Galaxy Note 4, Note Edge and the new Note 5 will be treated with Google's sweet Android Marshmallow update.
