Scandal season 5 will not air on Thursday in the US: Where and when to watch episode 13
Scandal season 5 episode 13 is going on a hiatus for a fortnight and will be back on 10 March. Once it returns on TV, fans can expect a major showdown between President Fitz and Olivia Pope as they will meet for the first time after their break-up.
The midseason premiere showed that Olitz parted ways after the Pope daughter aborted their baby and felt suffocated trying to fit into the shoes of the former first lady, Mellie Grant. But the couple have moved on from their relationships and Fitz is trying to fill the emotional gaps by hooking up with journalist Lillian Forrester.
The official synopsis of episode 13 titled The Fish Rots From The Head, reads: Olivia and the team take on some embattled Secret Service agents. Meanwhile, Abby has her hands full trying to keep Fitz in line, and Jake begins to reveal a few secrets of his own.
Annabeth Gish, who plays the role of Lillian, told TV Line that her character is "Smart. D.C.-savvy. very put-together, like all of Shonda [Rhimes]'s females are. And spicy, like, she is not one-note."
She also hinted that Fitz's emotions for the journalist are not just for casual hook ups. "There's obviously chemistry between them, and I think it's genuine. She has to make a decision about whether or not she wants to do her piece... or date the president," she told the website.
Olivia, on the other hand, is trying to mend her relationship with Jake who happens to find his love in new character Vanessa Moss. Entertainment website She Knows suspects that the new lady in Jake's life will have a mysterious background and her identity will be revealed when Scandal season 5 show returns on 10 March with episode 13.
