Scream Queens season 2 return date: John Stamos joins the show as 'secretive' Dr Brock Holt
Set your reminders for Scream Queens season 2 premiere this September. The show, which already has an interesting cast ensemble, is adding another big name for the hospital-themed second season. Fox has hired John Stamos as series regular to play an important character in the popular horror comedy drama.
According to a press statement by the network, the Grandfathered actor will play the character of Dr Brock Holt — a brilliant but secretive head surgeon. Stamos will join Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Glen Powell and Niecy Nash in the show with Ryan Murphey, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan as the executive producer.
Here is the official synopsis for the second season:
Season two of Scream Queens graduates from the college campus and into an all-new location, as a terrifyingly funny mystery will begin once again. Set in a hospital, where some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation, Stamos will play Dr Brock Holt, the hospital's brilliant, but secretive, head surgeon.
In the finale of season 1, Chanel and her minions were sent to a mental institution while Hester was unmasked as one of the killers clad in the Red Devil suit. Her brother Boone and caretaker Gigi were the other two killers whom, Hester murdered before the season's finale.
Fox has not released any details about how the show will portray Chanel's character (she was shown as an ultra glamorous and ruthless girl of the Kappa Kappa Tau). In the final episode, she donned dull outfits as she was shifted to the mental asylum.
During the show's premiere, fans will learn whether Chanel and Hester are the damsels in distress or the game changers. As of now expect plenty of murders in the creepy hospital where Dr Brock Holt will be investigating bizarre medical cases.
Scream Queens season 2 will premiere on Tuesday, 20 September at 9pm ET/PT on Fox Network.
