Disney darlings Selena Gomez and Nick Jonas were a sweet couple back in 2008 when they were dating. Nearly a decade after their teenage romance fell apart; the pop-stars have once again reignited dating rumours as gossip reports suggest that the pair has been flirting with each other on text messages.

According to Life & Style magazine, the former Jonas Brothers member seems to be eager to give his relationship with the Same Old Love hitmakeranother shot.

"Nick has been texting Selena lots of sweet poems and memes to make her laugh," an alleged source told the publication, adding that Gomez has been responding by "hitting [Nick] up a lot."

While any hopes of a Disney couple's reunion is exciting for the fans, sources claim that the Jealous singer would be proceeding only if Gomez promises to be "serious" this time. Considering the tough phase that the songstress went through struggling with the side-effects of Lupus and her time away from limelight, a serious relationship might not be the first thing on her mind.

Gomez made her first appearance since announcing her career break in November, when she took to the stage at the 2016 American Music Awards stage. As she received her award for favourite pop/rock female artist of the year, an emotional Gomez even moved the audience to tears with her powerful speech.

"I was absolutely broken inside. I kept it all together enough to where I would never let you down, but I kept it too much together to where I let myself down," the Hands To Myself singer said fighting back tears.

Following her hiatus from the limelight, the 24-year-old finally seems to be moving on after she was recently photographed in the studio. The picture shared by songwriter Justin Tranter showed Gomez flaunting a brand new hairstyle and spirit and the caption "Music and love" hinted that the two might be working on something new.

Apart from the pop diva's comeback, the picture also caught fans' eyes because of the cheeky comment posted by Jonas. His simple "thumbs up" emoticon added more fuel to the rumours that something might be cooking between the two.
