Shahrukh Khan Beats Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp as Second Richest Actor in the World

Shahrukh Khan has been declared the second richest actor in the world by Wealth-X's Hollywood and Bollywood Rich List.

The Chennai Express star beat Hollywood biggies like Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp and Adam Sandler to feature in the second place in the list with an estimated net worth of $600 million.

The list put comedian Jerry Seinfeld right on top of the rich list. With an estimated net worth of $820 million, the 60-year-old comedian emerged as the wealthiest actor, reports Times of India.

"Khan is estimated to be worth $600 million. Immensely popular around the globe as well as in his home country, India, Khan is also a producer, TV host, co-owner of an Indian cricket club and a philanthropist. He has appeared in more than 50 Bollywood films and is a regular at the annual Cannes Film Festival", the Wealth X report stated.

Shahrukh Khan's last release, Chennai Express was a monster hit and it further strengthened the actor's position as the top superstar in Bollywood. SRK's earlier hit films like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Pardes and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham helped him establish a huge fan following in the overseas market.

Khan's next film will be Happy New Year which is directed by Farah Khan and co-stars Deepika Padukone. The film is expected to release on October 23, 2014.
