Sharknado: Jedward chased by flying sharks along the Thames to promote new film
Astonished Londoners saw musical duo Jedward chased by a group of flying sharks along the river Thames in a stunt to promote their appearance in the new Sharknado film.
Racing through the capital on a speedboat, the 23-year-old Irish popstars screamed and yelled as a they were chased by an inflatable tiger, hammerhead and great white shark attached to the boat behind.
Speaking about the stunt Jedward said: "We knew something strange was happening when we started to feel a breeze in the air a few days ago. We were lucky to escape thanks to our Jepic speedboat driving skills, making it back to dry land in one piece."
The twins. who first made their name on UK talent show the X Factor, were promoting new film Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! ahead of it's UK debut on 23 July on the Syfy channel. As well as Jedward, the third installment in the series stars Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, Cassie Scerbo, David Hasselhoff and Bo Derek.
The satirical disaster movie is the latest effort from film production company The Asylum, which has become renowned for producing low-budget, direct-to-video films designed to tie-in with major blockbuster releases.
