Sister Wives season finale: Will Kody Brown quit the show after a bitter fight with Christine?

Sister Wives season 5 finale will finally reveal the reason behind the controversial divorce of Kody Brown and his first wife Meri.

The episode will also delve into several other issues of the polygamist family, including the feud between Kody and his third wife Christine.

In a clip from the tell-all session of the upcoming episode, the Brown patriarch revealed that he almost wanted to quit the show after his bitter on-air feud with his third wife.

"I literally started talking to the family the week after that aired," the 47-year-old said in the video. "I started talking about how we can get out of this show. I was dead serious. I had had enough."

Earlier, during the show, Brown had made some comments about Christine's menstrual cycles, which triggered an outburst against him.

Differences between the couple grew deeper and Kody then wished for a more in-depth courtship with Christine, which would have made their relationship stronger.

He made some confession to Christine, which upset here even more and she retorted by saying, "I hate all of this so bad [sic], I feel like you're just always slamming how we came to be."

Meanwhile, Kody's first wife Meri opened up about her divorce and the reason behind Robyn becoming the legal wife of the Brown patriarch.

"It's an end of something that we had had, in a way, for 24-and-a-half years," the 44-year-old said in the finale promo video.

"But at the same time, I know it's not, because I have eternity with him; I have eternity with the family. I know it's not the end."

"It's crazy to me because I was sitting there watching them sign those divorce papers, and I have signed divorce papers before, and it was because I didn't want to be married anymore," the youngest wife Robyn added.

The Brown family claims that the decision was mutual and it was taken in order to restructure the family.

With Kody being married to Robyn, her three children will get benefits from Kody's insurance just like the rest of his children.

Sister Wives is a controversial family reality show that documents the life of polygamist Kody Brown, who lives with four wives Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn and 14 biological and three step children.

The show's season 5 finale will air tonight, 1 March, on the TLC network.
