Vanessa Hudgens has wowed her 27.4 million followers with her latest Instagram clip, where she frolics in swimwear and emulates Marilyn Monroe.

The 28-year-old actress is seen sporting a plunging black one-piece swimsuit featuring an 80s inspired high-rise design, with a kimono draped around her shoulders for extra glamour.

Standing in front of palm trees, Hudgens looked every inch the Hollywood siren, with her hair styled in a messy top knot with large hoop earrings and a flawless face of makeup. However it was her yoga-honed figure that stole the show.

Pulling her shoulders forward and stealing Monroe's sensual mouth mannerisms, she captioned the clip: "Lol me serving my best Marilyn during the reminding me shoot".

Fans went wild over the social media video, with one person commenting: "Damn baby gorgeous".

Another wrote: "Absolutely stunning " as a third added: "Just smokin hot".

The clip appeared to be a throwback from Shawn Hook's music video for Reminding Me back in April.

The black and white video shows Hudgens wearing the same outfit on the top of a building where she later jumped into an indoor pool.

Hudgens has not released any of her own music since her 2013 single $$$ex with YLA. She released her debut album V in 2006 and her second, Identified, in 2008.

She became a household name after starring as Gabriella Montez in Disney's High School Musical in 2005, sparking a five-year romance with her co-star Zac Efron. Hudgens has been in a relationship with actor Austin Butler since 2011 and has some film projects in the pipeline – including romantic comedy Dog Days alongside Finn Woldhard and Nina Dobrev.
