Overview

Sweden come into the game after registering a comeback victory in the semi-final against Switzerland. The two-time defending champions were trailing 5-4 till the eighth end of the game. But two points in the ninth end gave Fredrik Hallstroem's side the lead before eventually defeating their opponents 7-5 by the conclusion of the game.

Sweden progressed into the semi-final after finishing second and losing to Canada and China in the round robin clashes.

The Canadians humiliated the defending champions to win, 9-3 within eight ends.

Meanwhile, Canada are in dazzling form on the ice in this year's Olympics having won all their games in the competition. Janet Arnott's side boast a 100% record with nine out of nine wins in the round robin encounters before managing a 6-4 win against Great Britain in the semi-final.

Jennifer Jones will be hoping for a similar performance from her compatriots like they did in their previous meeting against Sweden. The 39-year-old will undoubtedly be aiming for revenge for the defeat four years ago hoping to take home a gold medal.
