Sofia Vergara reveals why she was hesitant to date Joe Manganiello

Joe Manganiello is arguably one of the hottest Hollywood actors, and according to his wife Sofia Vergara, that is the exact reason why the Colombian-American actress was reluctant to date him.

Vergara recently appeared in the Harry talk show, hosted by Harry Connick Jr. The 44-year-old actress opened up about her dating life with her now husband. "You are married to perhaps, seriously, arguably the most attractive man that ever lived. Not that's just alive," 49-year-old Connick Jr says in the show.

The Modern Family star confessed of her hesitation to date Manganiello for exactly that reason as she felt she was "too old" to deal with it. "When he started trying to convince me to go out with him, I didn't want to go out with him because of that. I don't want to deal with that, I am too old now to be with a guy that all the girls are like after him," Vergara told the show host.

She gave the same logic to the Magic Mike XXL actor before beginning their official dating. "'You're too hot, this is going to be so much work. I'm not kidding'. I didn't want to go out with him because of how hot he was." However, regardless of her reluctance, their romance bloomed and they are now one of the hottest Hollywood couples around.

The couple started dating in 2014 and six months later the True Blood star got engaged to his lady love on Christmas Day 2014. They exchanged wedding vows on 21 November 2015 in Palm Beach, Florida.
