Sons of Anarchy prequel rumours: Is Brad Pitt playing Jax Teller's father in the biker series spin-off?
After seven successful seasons, Sons of Anarchy ended on a high and aesthetic note with Charlie Hunnam's Jax Teller's death. Fans of the popular FX biker drama are now waiting for some updates about the prequel of the show, which will focus on the founder of the outlawed motorcycle club SAMCRO — John Teller .
Though there are no news from both FX network and the show creator himself, rumours of Brad Pitt starring in the upcoming show as Jax Teller's father has resurfaced again. But none of the rumours are true as many of the online media outlets are referring to an year-old interview of Hunnam, where he hinted that the World War Z star may play Jax's father in the show.
Here is what the 35-year-old actor said in the Men's Journal interview: "He's (show creator Kurt Sutter) trying to do a prequel, which I would love to see. Kurt is trying to get it going. Did you read that about Brad Pitt maybe playing my dad? Brad Pitt as John Teller. How awesome would that be."
But after the cancellation of his other show The Bastard Executioner right after its first season, Sutter is silent on the social media and is yet to offer any update on his upcoming projects. However, last year, he hinted that he will think about the SOA prequel after TBX.
During the same time, Cinema Blend reported that the show creator had begun the groundwork for a future of the spin-off series, the plot of which will revolve around the Mayan motorcycle club. The website also speculated that some characters of the main series would be a part of the upcoming project.
