Sony Xperia Z2 aka D6503 Sirius to Offer 1080p Video at 60fps and 15.5MP Photo
Sony to hold its press conference at MWC 2014 on February 24
New details about the camera features for the successor to Sony Xperia Z1, widely known as Sony D6503 and codenamed 'Sirius' have surfaced online.
Senior XDA member, iRimas has shared a few screenshots from the Sony D6503, which were taken in camera manual mode and video recording settings.
As the screenshot suggests, the Xperia Z2 aka Sony D6503 Sirius can capture full HD videos with resolution 1920 x 1080 (16:9) at 30 frames per second (fps), full HD 1920 x 1080 (16:9) video at 60 fps.
Besides, the Xperia Z2 can take photos at 20.7 megapixel 5248 x 3936 (4:3) and 15.5 megapixel 5248 x 2952 (16:9).
The current Xperia Z1, in contrary, is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30 fps and photos at 20.7 megapixel then at eight megapixel, notes Xperia Guide.
Prior to this, iRimas, who reportedly holds a prototype of Sony D6503, has posted some of the screenshots of the new camera app from the upcoming handset.
The leaked screenshots reveal the upcoming smartphone has 4k video app, Tiemshift video app and Creative effect camera apps.
The leaks do not end here. The XDA member has also leaked a few screenshots of Android 4.4.2 KitKat based new Xperia UI's Walkman lockscreen form the Xperia Z2.
Although there is no official word, Sony has been rumoured to announce the Sony Xperia Sirius at the upcoming Mobile World Congress event, scheduled to be held from February 24 to 27 at Barcelona. Sony will be holding a press conference at MWC 2014 on 24 February at 8.30 CET.
