Sony Xperia Z3 Compact to Sport 4.5in Screen, 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 Quad-core and 20.7MP Camera

Recently we came across the photo of what is known as the compact version of Sony Xperia Z3. Now, the specifications for the smartphone have emerged have been leaked online.

Referring to the photo leak, renowned XDA developer DooMLoRD said the Xperia Z3 Compact in the photo was indeed a real deal. Besides, the developer has now shared a few details about the Xperia Z3 Compact according to which, the mini version of the handset will bear model number D580x, reports XperiaBlog.

He also asserts that the Xperia Z3 Compact will sport a 4.5in screen. It will pack a Snapdragon 801 chipset featuring a quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz, paired with Adreno 330 graphics unit. Besides, the device will house 2GB RAM. Like the Xperia Z3, its Compact version will have a 20.7 megapixel rear snapper and a 2.1 megapixel camera at the front side.

Apart from this, DooMLoRD has also shared a screenshot, which suggests the "About phone" status of Xperia Z3 Compact. The screenshot shows the similar Snapdragon MSM8974PRO-AC chip and Android 4.4.2 KitKat software, 3.4 kernel and 23.0.x.xxx build number for the handset.

We will get to know more about the smartphone at the upcoming IFA trade fair, scheduled from 5-10 September in Berlin.

Talking about the hardware features of the Xperia Z3, the handset is likely to be thinner than its predecessor, the Xperia Z2, with a thickness of 7mm only. It will have 1080p display, 3GB RAM and quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor.
