Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact: UK Retail Price, Pre-orders and Tariffs
Following Sony's announcement of its new Xperia Z series flagship smartphones, Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact, retailers in the UK have now opened up pre-orders for both the smartphones.
The new devices will be available for purchase towards the end of this month. Below are the pre-orders and price deals for Xperia Z3 and its compact version by UK retailers.
Xperia Z3 Pre-Orders:
The SIM-free Xperia Z3 is up for pre-order at Carphone Warehouse with a suggested retail price of £549.95. The retailer notes that the availability of the handset is expected by 1 October.
Carphone Warehouse, Clove and Expansys have also set their pre-order price for the unlocked variant of Xperia Z3 slightly above £500. As the product page suggests, Clove will bring the first stock of the handsets to its store later this month with no details on the particular date for availability.
Unlocked Mobiles is charging £498.98 including VAT for the SIM-free Xperia Z3 and the availability is expected by 22 September.
Handtech has also priced the Xperia Z3 below £500, at £497.99.
Those who want Sony's new Xperia handset on contracts, here are the offers from Phones 4u. The Xperia Z3 can be pre-ordered at Phones 4u on contracts with EE, Vodafone, Orange and T-Mobile starting from £38.50 per month. Besides, consumers will get a screen protector worth £10 for free on pre-ordering the Xperia Z3. The white variant of Xperia Z3 is exclusive to Phones 4u.
Consumers can also place their pre-order from UK Sony Mobile Store at £549. Sony is offering a Stereo Bluetooth Headset SBH80 worth £90 for free on Xperia Z3 pre-order, which will be delivered on 26<sup>th of this month.

Xperia Z3 Compact pre-orders:
The Z3 Compact costs £100 less than its big brother, when compared to the retail prices at Sony Mobile Store. The Z3 Compact in all the colour variants: Black, Green, White and Orange is up for pre-order at £429. Sony, along with the pre-order, is offering a Digital Noise Cancelling Headset MDR-NC31EM worth £51.
Amazon UK has also confirmed the pre-order. The retailer has reduced the retail price by £70 and now the Z3 Compact costs £429.95. The handset will become available at Amazon store on 29 September.
Other renowned retailers such as Clove, Expansys, Unlocked Mobiles and Handtec have revealed their price deals for the Compact variant.
As usual Phones 4u and Carphone Warehouse are taking pre-order for the Z3 Compact on contracts with various carrier networks. The tariffs at Phones 4u start from £30.50, or £28 at Carphone Warehouse.
