Sony's first 4K smartphone Xperia Z5 Premium goes on sale in UK
Sony's new smartphone featuring a 4K screen – Xperia Z5 Premium – which was unveiled alongside the flagship Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact at the IFA trade show in September, is now available for purchase in the UK. The phones were on pre-order immediately after the launch through various online retailers in the country.
The UK's largest independent retailer Carphone Warehouse is selling the SIM-free phone at £599.99. Along with this you get £200 cashback provided you buy a Sony 4K TVat Currys PC World. You can also buy the phone on contract with EE, Vodafone, iD or O2 starting at £49, without paying anything upfront.
Oneline retailer Clove is also selling the SIM-free model at £629. The deal fetches you Sony's BSP10 speaker and SBH60 headphones worth £140 for free. Other retailers such as Unlocked Mobiles and Expansys have also fixed a similar price tag. Unlocked Mobiles has it on sale at £599.87, whereas if you purchase from Expansys, you will have to pay £629.99. You will not get any lucrative offer that comes as part of the purchase.
Amazon has also confirmed availability of the phone at an 8% discount for £599.99, as opposed to the initial price of £649.9. If you buy the phone from Sony Mobile stores in the UK, you get a choice of buying the phone via three deals such as Pay Monthly, Pay as You Go and SIM-free. While Pay Monthly is available on contract with Carphone Warehouse, EE and O2, Pay as You Go is only with O2. Head over to Sony product page to know more about the deals.
