Patti LeBelle fans will be happy to hear that the Queen of Soul is joining the cast of hit anthology series American Horror Story: Freak Show.

According to TVLine, the Lady Marmalade songstress will appear in four episodes of the Brad Falchuk's FX series when the show returns for its fourth season this autumn.

Rather than showing off her vocals, she will play the mother of the character played by Precious star Gabourey Sidib.

"LaBelle's alter ego — who I'm told does not sing — is a local townsperson who begins to unravel the murderous secrets of Twisty the clown killer," a source said.

The Grammy award-winning star will be starring alongside Michael Chiklis (The Shield), The Hunger Games' Wes Bentley, and Finn Wittrock (All My Children).

Meanwhile, Billboard reports that the new season will set in Jupiter, Florida, and will focus on the last freak show in America in the 1950s.

This is not LaBelle's first foray into the world of acting. She previously starred in A Different World, Out All Night and Semi-Pro.
