Whoops, Wrong Airport: Southwest Airlines Makes Landing Error in Missouri [VIDEO]
A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-700 destined for Branson, Missouri, landed at a small airport in Taney County instead where the runway was half as long.
The jet, which was carrying 124 passengers, landed without injuries at the small airport approximately seven miles away from the intended destination.
Southwest Airlines flight 4013 was due to fly from Chicago's Midway International Airport to Branson. No information has been released as to why the plane landed at Taney, which is otherwise known as M Graham Clark Airport.
The airline spokesman Brad Hawkins said: "The landing was uneventful, and all customers and crew are safe."
Dallas attorney Scott Schieffer, who was aboard the flight, added: "The landing was really abrupt and the pilot applied the brakes really strongly. You could hear it and you could certainly feel it."
