Below is a list of all Olympics 2016 Hockey broadcasters from across the world.
Overview
Spain come into the 2016 Rio Olympics not in the best of form, dropping down the FIH Hero World Rankings in recent years. Their current world ranking of 11, does not do justice to their talent and under head coach Frederic Soyez, a former France international, Spain will be looking to relive past glories.
Their best finish at the Olympic Games came in 2008 when they secured the silver medal in Beijing, and in David Alegre, Roc Oliva, Sergi Enrique, Miguel Delas, Pau Quemada and Quico Cortes they have players with experience who will need to lead the way if the Red Sticks are to come away with a medal.
The hosts Brazil will be taking part in their first-ever Olympic Games and it should be noted that they are here on merit, qualifying to reach the summer games. The lowest ranked team in the tournament, the Samba Boys reached the semi-finals of 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, which will hold them in good stead ahead of the their opening clash.
Striker Matheus Borges and defender Stephane Vehrle-Smith who were named in the 2015 Pan American Elite teams are key, needing to perform in every game if the hosts are to progress further in the competition.
