Overview

Sri Lanka have wrapped up the ODI series after beating England in the penultimate match at Pallekele. The seventh match will be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, and will be for pride and for the Three Lions to claw back the gap.

Kumar Sangakkara led the Lankans to victory with a fine century and Tilakaratne Dilshan helped with a well played 68, leading the T20 World Champions to 292 for 7, and England could only manage 202, thus surrendering the match by 90 runs.

This will come as a huge boost for the Lankans following a disappointing performance against India in the previous series.

Meanwhile, the Three Lions will want to salvage some pride in the last match after coming short in the series despite a good fight back to bring it to 3-2.

Joe Root was again the top scorer for the English team with 55 runs, following his century in the previous match. Next up for Alistair Cook's men is the tri-series in Australia, along with the hosts and India in January 2015.

Betting Odds (bwin)
