Overview
World number five Stan Wawrinka comes into the 2016 edition of Wimbledon hoping his inconsistency does not pose a problem in his quest to win his first title at SW19.
The Swiss tennis player has looked below his best this season, and will need to switch on at the earliest if he has to progress further in London.
His opponent 18-year-old Taylor Fritz has been earmarked for great things following his debut in the ATP Tennis circuit in 2015. Known as the future of American tennis, Fritz has shown flashes of brilliance most recently at Memphis earlier this year where he reached the final only to lose to Kei Nishikori.
The world number 65 is capable of an upset on his day, with Wawrinka's inconsistency the only thing holding him back from achieving greater things on court.
