Stephen Whitehead murder: Arrest made after Burnley man found dead from head injuries at skip firm
Lancashire Police have arrested a man on suspicion of murdering Stephen Whitehead at Pendle Skips in Burnley.
Whitehead, 49, was found dead at the business premises where he worked as a casual employee on the morning of 27 July.
A 34-year-old man from Burnley was arrested on suspicion of murder this morning (29 July) and is currently in custody.
A police statement read: "Police were called by the Ambulance Service at around 8am on Monday 27 July after Stephen Whitehead was discovered at the business premises of Pendle Skips on Balderstone Close, Burnley, with significant head injuries.
"Sadly he was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem examination established the cause of death as extensive head injuries."
