Stipe Miocic vs Junior Dos Santos 2: Where to watch UFC 211 live, preview, prediction, betting odds and quotes
Miocic will be looking to avenge his last loss against Dos Santos in what is a stacked card.
Heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic will defend his title in a rematch against Junior Dos Santos at UFC 211 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on Saturday (13 May).
Where to watch live
The main card event starts at 3am BST (Sunday in the UK). Live coverage is on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport 1 HD with live streaming available on BTSport.com.
Overview
In a rematch of their five-round war that took place in December 2014, heavyweight champion Miocic (18-2 record in MMA) will hope to gain revenge when he takes on Dos Santos (18-4 record in MMA) for the title.
"Cigano" notably inflicted Miocic's last loss in the octagon, winning via unanimous decision at a UFC on Fox card in Phoenix, Arizona.
Since the setback, Miocic has gone on to win the heavyweight title and is currently on a four-fight winning streak defeating the likes of Mark Hunt, former champion Fabricio Werdum and Alistair Overeem in the process.
In arguably his toughest test, a win for Miocic would not only put him at two title defences in what is the most unpredictable division in the company, but cement him as one of the greatest heavyweights in UFC history. And at only 34 years of age, the Croatian-American has many years left at the top.
As for Dos Santos, this will be the hard-hitting Brazilian's first title shot since losing his trilogy fight to Cain Velasquez in October 2013.
Since beating Miocic in their last encounter, the former champion has only fought twice, losing to Alistair Overeem, but bouncing back with a dominant decision victory over Ben Rothwell in April 2016.
Ready to hold UFC gold again, Dos Santos is now looking to become a two-time UFC champion and is so confident of a win, that he has even challenged boxing heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua to a fight to determine who the toughest man on the planet is.
Prediction
Junior Dos Santos to win by KO/TKO.
What they say:
Stipe Miocic: "I don't want to go through another slugfest. I want to do my fight. It's not going five rounds, I can tell you that right now. And I'm not doing that and losing – I'm walking out with the belt still wrapped around my waist. I don't really care what it takes. It's going to happen," via MMAJunkie.
Junior Dos Santos:"I don't think we will go past the third round this time. I can guarantee you it won't be a knockdown like in the first fight, it will be a knockout now. I believe [Miocic] has really evolved, but he can't use his recent knockouts as a parameter. I'm different. I'm as strong as him, and I'm the fastest heavyweight in history. Whatever his strategy is, I will win," via MMAFighting.
