Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown reveals Eleven transformation on social media
12-year-old actress says she is cool with being referred to as 'young man' when out and about.
Set in the 1980s, Netflix Original series Stranger Things has a lot of enviable style moments which fashion outlets everywhere are keen to hone in on.
One character's look in particular – which is synonymous with the show – is Eleven: complete with shaved head and baby pink dress or hospital gown (and blood dripping down her nose on the odd occasion).
Stand-out star Millie Bobby Brown has now taken to social media to share a two-minute long video of herself getting her hair cut in preparation to play the mysterious, young psychokinetic in the hit show.
On her distinctive look, 12-year-old Brown told Elle in August that her mother was reluctant for her daughter to get a buzz cut simply for a role, but Brown was quick to convince her that her hair wouldn't remain like that forever.
"My mom was like, "No! That's not happening, and I was like, "Mom. You need to chill out; it's gonna grow back."
"Yeah, mom was against it. And me and my dad were like, "Come on. It's fine!" Today, actually, we went to an Indian restaurant and someone was like, 'Hello, young man.' That was like the 500th time someone called me a boy, and I'm really fine with it."
Debuting on Netflix on 15 July, Stranger Things follows a group of four young boys and the events which follow after one of them goes missing one fateful evening. Just as their friend vanishes without a trace, a mysterious girl named Eleven turns up in the last place they saw him... and she possesses some pretty intriguing supernatural powers.
Meanwhile, in a desperate attempt to find her son, the missing boy's mother (Winona Ryder) opens an investigation into the boy's disappearance with the small town's sheriff (David Harbour). This happens to unravel a series of riddles involving top-secret government experiments, as well as a link to Eleven.
