Supernatural Season 10 returns with its mid-season premiere episode tonight, January 20th at 9pm on The CW.

The 11<sup>th episode is titled The Hunter Games, where Sam and Castiel double their efforts to find a cure for Dean.

The official synopsis reads as follows:

The Aftermath - After the massacre at the ranch, Dean (Jensen Ackles), Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Castiel (Misha Collins) double their efforts to find a cure for the Mark of Cain but there is nothing in the lore that can help them. Desperate, Castiel comes up with an idea that Sam deems the "single worst idea I've ever heard." Meanwhile, Rowena (guest star Ruth Connell) continues to plot against Crowley (Mark Sheppard), and Castiel tries to mend his relationship with Claire (guest star Kathryn Love Newton) who is plotting revenge against Dean for killing her friend. John Badham directed this episode written by Eugenie Ross-Leming & Brad Buckner.

The mid-season finale saw Dean rapidly losing control over the Mark of Cain, leading him to slaughter a house full of humans, and a horrified Sam witnessing his brother's descent into darkness.

Misha Collins who plays Castiel dished to The Hollywood Reporter, that with Dean gone dark, Sam will need Castiel's help to cure his brother.

"Cas is intimately involved in trying to remove the Mark," Collins told the website.

"It's definitely shaping up to be a team effort, but Cas will be instrumental in 'de-marking' Dean... Getting the mark gone is an important mission for the rest of the season, and I think that that struggle is taking the fore[ground] in terms of... illness... In this stretch of the season arc, the focus is on Dean, and Cas' health is not nearly as much of an issue," he added.
