Brendan Rodgers takes his men to the Liberty Stadium as Liverpool take on Swansea City in the Premier League clash on Monday.

Where to watch live

Kick-off is at 8pm GMT. Live coverage is on Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 1 HD. Radio commentary of the game will be available on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Overview

Swansea come into this fixture after a disappointing 3-2 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane. The Welsh club's striker Bafetimbi Gomis collapsed during the game, but is now fit to face the Reds at home on Monday evening.

Garry Monk has seen his side maintain only one clean sheet in the last five league matches at the Liberty Stadium, that too against Aston Villa. He has seen Swansea suffer defeat against Liverpool twice (League Cup and Premier League) this season and both the matches were at Anfield.

Meanwhile, Liverpool enter this fixture after their disappointing goalless draw against Blackburn Rovers in the sixth round of the FA Cup clash at home. The Merseyside club have not lost a league game in this calendar year and they will be looking to extend the run against Swansea.

A defeat for Brendan Rodgers' side on Monday will be a massive blow for Liverpool in the race to finish the season in the top four. After the Swansea clash, they host Manchester United and a victory in Wales will be vital for the Reds.

What managers say

Garry Monk: "Jonjo [Shelvey] always seems to grab the headlines against Liverpool, let's hope he does it for the right reasons. Jonjo's in good form and has had a very good month, showing bits of what we know he can do and what we're pushing Jonjo to do."

Brendan Rodgers: "I've seen all the numbers and all the statistics on it and, physically, it was the lowest we have been for this season. Now we're re-energised and refreshed mentally and physically. We go into a run of games now, starting with Swansea, and we feel we can go in and push on in terms of our level of performance again. We know it will be tough."
