Overview
Swansea have not enjoyed a great start to the 2016/17 season under the guidance of Francesco Guidolin. They registered a 1-0 victory over Burnley in the opening match of the season and that has been their only win in the Premier League.
The Welsh club settled for a 2-2 draw against Swansea City as they have a win and a draw from their five matches in the league. In the second round of the League Cup, the Swans registered a 3-1 victory over Peterborough United.
Guidolin will be keen on helping his side bounce back when his side take on the Citizens at home. A victory on Wednesday evening will be a massive boost for Swansea for their upcoming fixtures.
City, on the other hand, have been in fine form and have won all their matches played in all competitions. They look reviatlised under their new manager Pep Guardiola and the Spaniard will be hoping that his side's winning streak continues against Swansea.
The visitors have scored 14 goals and conceded only three goals in the last five matches played in all competitions. In the last two matches, they bagged eight goals, while maintaining a clean sheet in both the fixtures.
City will be looking for nothing less than a win in order to progress further in the competition.
