Overview
Hong Kong take on Scotland in the 10th match of the 2016 qualifier on Saturday at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur. Both these teams are playing their final game of the tournament as they have already been eliminated from the competition.
Yet to win a game in the competition, Hong Kong crashed out of the tournament after a six-wicket loss to Afghanistan in their second qualifying game, played at the same venue on Thursday. The team coached by Charlie Burke, were not expected to qualify and this experience can only help them going further.
Their opponents Scotland have also had a disastrous tournament by their standards, failing to win a single game so far. The team lead by Preston Mommsen have not performed to their potential, with players such as Kyle Coetzer, Matt Machan and Josh Davey disappointing. Much was expected after their sojourn at the ICC 2015 World Cup but it was not to be, its back to the drawing board for the team who were favourites to progress from their qualifying group.
