The main stage of the sixth edition of the ICC World Twenty20 will kick-start when the host nation, India, face New Zealand in the Group 2 clash at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on 15 March. It is for the first time that India is hosting this event as the previous five tournaments were held in South Africa, England, West Indies, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
The final two teams who will make it to the last 10 will be decided by Qualifiers. Eight teams are divided into two groups, Group A and Group B, and each group consists of four teams. The team that finishes on top of the group will progress to the main round of the T20 World Cup.
