Taylor Lautner and Billie Lourd end 8-month romance but are 'still friendly'
The couple started dating prior to death of the actress' mother, Carrie Fisher and grandmother, Debbie Reynolds.
Taylor Lautner and Billie Lourd have ended up in Splitsville. The Twilight actor and Scream Queen star have ended their romance after spending eight months together, E! Online reported.
The two started dating in 2016, prior to the death of Lourd's mother, Carrie Fisher (27 December) and grandmother, Debbie Reynolds (28 December). Lautner went on to become a pillar of support for the actress as she dealt with the deaths of her close family.
"They aren't together anymore but they are still friendly," the source says. "She's really focused on her work right now."
Todd Fisher, Lourd's uncle even praised the efforts the Tracers star made during the troubling time. "The truth of the matter is, the guy is pretty spectacular," he said of Lautner. "He's a really deep person, and he has supported her amazingly. He's stepped up and acted like a husband would act. Not that that's what's going on, but it's just an amazing support system for her, and I'm glad he's in her life. That's not easy for me to say, if you think about it!"
Lautner and Lourd played Dr Cassidy Cascade and Chanel #3 in season 2 of Scream Queens, Fox's horror comedy series. Following the cancellation of the show, Lourd signed on to star in the next season of Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story.
Fans of the couple first smelled trouble in the air when the two stopped responding to each other's social media posts since May. Then, the 25-year-old teen heartthrob was spotted partying sans girlfriend at The h.wood Group's Bootsy Bellows Red, White and Bootsy Fourth of July pop up event at Nobu in Malibu.
