Taylor Swift embraces the single life as Calvin Harris embarks on 'secret romance' with Jennifer Lopez

Taylor Swift cut a lonely figure as she hit New York on Wednesday (14 September). The singleton looked her usual stylish self and appeared to be shrugging off her recent split from Tom Hiddleston.

However, the Love Story singer could not have escaped the latest rumours about her other ex-Calvin Harris, who has been spotted around town with Jennifer Lopez. Rumours are rife that the Scottish DJ, who was in a relationship with Taylor for 15 months, is secretly seeing the 47-year-old star, Mail Online reports.

A source for the National Enquirer said: "Calvin and Jennifer are very careful to not be seen together. It's very early days, and they're keeping things on the down-low." The rumoured new couple has reportedly been spending a lot of time at a Las Vegas hotel together under the pretext of recording new music together. "'They've become really close," the insider claimed. "There's epic chemistry between them."

In June, Calvin celebrated J-Lo's 47th birthday with her at a celebrity bash in Sin City. A source told People in June: "Jennifer and Calvin discussed a possible music collaboration during her birthday party. They discussed the types of music they both love. Calvin was excited to be at the party, hanging out with Jennifer and chatting with Benny [Medina]," added the source.

In a recent interview with Rickie, Melvin and Charlie on the KISS FM Breakfast Show Calvin opened up about his personal life and revealed he is more cautious about his romantic life after the public interest in his relationship with Taylor. "I'm not on Tinder," he explained. "It's a very cautious life that I have to lead now because everything that I do is portrayed in some kind of negative way especially in terms of that stuff."

Calvin and Taylor sensationally announced they were to split after 15 months together. Their break up was described as amicable at the time, with Calvin refuting cheating allegations, tweeting: "The only truth here is that a relationship came to an end & what remains is a huge amount of love and respect." A source added: "There was no drama. Things just don't work out sometimes."

However, just two weeks after they announced their split, Taylor went public with her blossoming romance with British actor Tom Hiddleston after the pair were seen in a dance-off at the Met gala. The unlikely couple was photographed kissing on the beach near the singer's Rhode Island home.

Even Calvin appeared to be taken aback by how quickly his girlfriend had moved on. The Blank Space singer had been flaunting her relationship with Hiddleston as the new couple embarked on a love tour through Italy, the UK and Australia, and even met each other's parents.

But that Love Story was short-lived too as the pair split earlier this month after just three months of dating as Taylor allegedly became wary of Hiddleston's eagerness for the relationship to play out in the public eye.

As Calvin makes it clear he too has moved on, Taylor might just have something new to sing about as she comes to terms with her lost loves.
