Tech Talk: Salesforce - The Company on the Move
Today marks the official opening of Salesforce's new offices in Central London, and the renaming of Heron Tower as Salesforce Tower.
And while the renaming has caused some controversy, there is no getting away from the fact that Salesforce is a company on the up.
Founded back in 1999 by former Oracle employee Marc Benioff, Salesforce still sees itself as somewhat of a startup, being voted by Forbes magazine as the world's most innovative company three years running.
The company is credited with supercharging cloud adoption and creating the Software as a Service market, and despite its startup ethos, has annual revenues of $3 billion and is valued at $35 billion.
With the opening of its European headquarters in central London, the company is looking to the future and mobile is at the heart of that.
Benioff is famed for saying that he runs his billion dollar empire from his smartphone so I asked Miguel Milano, head of Salesforce for Europe, if he thinks running your business from a mobile phone is really possible.
