Technical specs of Microsoft Lumia 950, 950 XL with Windows 10 Mobile surface
Rumours suggest Microsoft's next high-end smartphones will be the Lumia 950/Lumia 950 XL, skipping a generation of mid-range devices that were earlier expected to be the Lumia 940/Lumia 940 XL.
Reports indicate possible key technical specifications of Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, besides suggesting that these devices will be among the first smartphones to feature Windows 10 Mobile.
As per a Chinese technology website (ITHome), Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL will feature the following technical specs:
Lumia 950
- 5.2in 2K display
- 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor
- 3 GB RAM
- 32GB internal storage
- MicroSD card slot for expansion of internal storage
- HSPA, GSM, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 2.0 and microUSB connectivity
- Type-C USB support
- 3,000 mAh removable battery
Lumia 950 XL
- 5.7in 2K display
- 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor
- 3GB RAM
- 32GB internal storage
- MicroSD card slot for expansion of internal storage
- USB Type-C support
- LTE, HSPA, GSM, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 2.0 and microUSB connectivity
- 3,300 mAh removable battery
ITHome also hints that both the Lumia phones will feature Microsoft's Windows Continuum that harnesses universal applications running within Windows 10 computers, tablets, Windows 10 smartphones and the Xbox One.
Technology tipster evleaks has also hinted about Microsoft releasing a high-end smartphone featuring front-facing LED flash.
Microsoft's Windows 10 Mobile is slated for launch in September, after release of the PC version on 29 July.
