Teen Titans Go and Powerpuff Girls crossover: Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup will go to Jump City

After rebooting its two classic shows, Cartoon Network will soon air a crossover episode between The Powerpuff Girls and Teen Titans GO! The network has also revealed the first look of the upcoming special episode where fans will see their favourite characters Teen Titans Raven, Robin and Starfire sharing screen space with Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup.

"Jump City will never be the same when our little superheroes Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup meet up with the Teen Titans for the very first time. When these two worlds of superheroes collide, it will surely be something to remember," Powerpuff Girls executive producer Nick Jennings told USA Today.

The Jump City superheroes will soon meet professor Utonium's creations – the sistersfrom Townsville and it will be interesting to see how the heroes will save earth from the looming dangers.

According to the website, the plot will be about supervillain Mojo Jojo and will follow the girls to Titans' home of Jump City. Unaware of the monkey's power, Beast Boy and Cyborg will think of him as a "pretty cool for a talking monkey". While the monkey keeps on his evil planning, the Powerpuff girls will have a competition with the Teen Titans.

It remains to be seen, how they will work together in thwarting Mojo Jojo's villainous plans. But the producer of Teen Titan, Aaron Horvath, has teased a fun crossover. "It's a really fun crossover that came about in a very organic way, and it was really great getting to put these two iconic superhero teams together," he told the website.

The Powerpuff Girls will air on Monday (30 May) at 6pm ET/PT. Teen Titans GO! will air on the same day at 6.30pm ET/PT on Cartoon Network. The crossover episode will air in June this year.
