Teen Wolf season 5: Scott's mental breakdown and a soul eating monster will spice up MTV drama
Teen Wolf season 5 is expected to feature some exciting drama in its premiere episode as Scott, Stiles, Lydia, Malia and Liam will be bracing up to fight a monster in the popular teen series.
The upcoming series may not bring good news for Scott fans as Tyler Posey has revealed that his character will go through a really bad phase in season 5.
"Scott has a mental breakdown at one point, which is great. I'm so excited for that," Posey told Hollywires and added that his character and Kira will go on another romantic date when the season premieres in June.
In the first few episodes of the forthcoming season, a new vicious monster called Slaugh will be introduced in the supernatural drama.
The upcoming season will also test the friendship between Scott, Stiles, Kira, Lydia, Malia and Liam as they will have to deal with a new set of monsters.
"It's very much about our teenagers becoming adults and heading into their senior year," show producer Jeff Davis told TVLine. "But as always, we bring in some new mysteries and new monsters. I think this season is very much about the line between science and supernatural," he added.
The scary creature will feast on innocent souls of Beacon Hill and the character will be played by Michael Lynch.
Lynch's character will have the ability to leave a part of his soul in his victim, Christian Today reports.
Apart from Slaugh, a monstrous lone wolf, Theo, will also enter the series as another villain who holds a hideous past.
The official synopsis of the premier episode of MTV's supernatural series reads: "On the eve of senior year, Scott and his friends find themselves facing the possibility of a future without each other, a next phase of their lives that might take them in different directions despite their best intentions. Little do they know that outside forces are already plotting to break the pack apart long before graduation."
Teen Wolf season 5 will have a two-part premiere special and will be aired on 29 and 30 June on MTV.
