Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Actor Stephen Amell gives first trailer release update

The first trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is set to release in December 2015, actor Stephen Amell who plays Casey Jones in the film has confirmed. During his recent appearance at the Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in San Jose, the Arrow star teased that the trailer will be attached to a "relatively big" release in December.

"If you're a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Fan, then you're going to want to go to the theatre in December before a relatively big movie that's being released for a fantastic trailer," the actor said. (via ComicBook)

Now there are three "relatively big" movies that are releasing in December - Star Wars: The Force Awakens, In The Heart Of The Sea and The Big Short. There's a strong chance that the movie Amell was referring to is The Big Short since the film is being distributed by Paramount Pictures (also releasing Ninja Turtles 2).

ComicBook speculates that it could be Star Wars 7. "If someone refers to a relatively big movie in December, then they know that most people are going to take it as being Star Wars: The Force Awakens," states the website.

The first trailers for Captain America: Civil War and X-Men: Apocalypse are reportedly attached to Star Wars: The Force Awakens and if TMNT 2 movie trailer is added to this lineup, it's definitely going to be an exciting time for comic book fans.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is slated to release on 3 June 2016.
