It's no secret that Marvel Studios fans are keen to get their hands on any kind of titbits they can about future movies in the franchise. Many of their early information comes from what they can learn when the stars are caught by paparazzi on the sets of the films.
The latest actor to be snapped between takes is Chris Hemsworth, who will be seen once again as the titular Asgardian God in Thor: Ragnarok. While his images might not have given anything about the movie, they've certainly done some good elsewhere!
In the candid photos, the 33-year-old – who is currently filming in Brisbane, Australia – was seen wearing a grey hoodie with 'LIVIN' emblazoned on its front. It has transpired to be an item of apparel manufactured by the Living Charity, which focuses on suicide prevention. Since Hemsworth was seen in the jumper, one of the organisations co-founders has revealed that they've seen a spike in sales.
"You can't really put it into words," Lyons told Gold Coast Bulletin about Hemsworth wearing their merchandise.
"Chris liked the look of it and said 'That's a cool shirt'. When he heard the message behind it he was more than happy to help support it. We're up a lot more sales than normal."
Founded by Sam Webb and Casey Lyons in 2013, the Livin Charity – whose mantra is 'It Ain't Weak to Speak' – aims to eradicate the stigma surrounding mental illness and to raise awareness as to what people go through. The pair were inspired to start the non-profit organisation after people close to them took their own lives due to their own personal struggles.
Directed by What We Do In The Shadows' Taika Waititi, Thor: Ragnarok will also star Tessa Thompson, Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo, Jeff Goldblum, Karl Urban and Cate Blanchett, and is scheduled to reach UK cinemas on 27 October 2017. It will be seen on US screens on 3 November. In the meantime, if you want to get yourself a hoodie just like Hemsworth – and promote a great cause while doing so – make sure to check out Livin's website.
