Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black tie the knot in lavish wedding ceremony
Bovey Castle in Devon provides opulent setting for couple who have been together for four years.
Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black have tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremony at Bovey Castle in Devon.
The pair were married in a formal ceremony in the Cathedral Room at the stately home in the presence of close family and friends on Saturday (7 May).
Following the extravagant nuptials guests enjoyed a three-course meal before dancing the night away with the newlyweds.
There were reports that the pair re-enacted a scene from Romeo and Juliet although a guest told the BBC that the claims were untrue.
"I'm not sure which wedding they were at but it wasn't the one I attended," he said.
The Olympic diver and the filmmaker were engaged in October 2015 and despite cheating allegations the pair, who have a 20-year age gap between them, have been together for four years.
Their relationship was tested following allegations that the TeamGB athlete had been in an 18-month affair with male model Edward William.
Daley also shared a shot of Black sitting in the sunshine marking the date the pair first became romantically involved.
Daley first revealed he had a boyfriend in a YouTube video in 2013, saying his "whole world changed" when he fell in love with a man.
"Come spring this year my life changed massively when I met someone and they make me feel so happy, so safe, and everything just feels great and, well, that someone is a guy," he said.
He said just a week after meeting Black that he knew he wanted to settle down with him and revealed that the pair discussed marriage almost immediately.
He told the Mirror: "After the first week we'd been together, I just knew. And ever since then it's just felt like a waste of time not being married to Lance."
