Tottenham Hotspur's players have wasted little time in basking in the glory of their victory over north London rivals Arsenal in the Premier League.

Despite Mesut Ozil giving the Gunners a 10th minute lead, Harry Kane took his season tally to 22 with a tap in after David Ospina's save before he nodded in Nabil Bentaleb's cross with aplomb with four minutes left, to secure victory.

The win sees Tottenham leapfrog Arsenal in pursuit of a top four spot but despite Kane's fine individual display the England Under-21 international was keen to pay tribute to his teammates after the game.

"Wow what a game," he wrote on Twitter. "Atmosphere was incredible. The whole team was different class!"

Kane was playing in his first north London derby at White Hart Lane, as was Ryan Mason, who wrote on social media: "Get in!!! We fully deserved that! The Lane was electric today, unbelievable atmosphere. We hear you."

Kyle Walker, Erik Lamela, Jan Vertonghen and Nacer Chadli were among the other players to hail Tottenham's win over their closest rivals.

Meanwhile, manager Mauricio Pochettino said his side showed a "special energy" on their way to a first derby win over Arsenal under his management.

"It was a fantastic performance. I'm very pleased for the players and congratulate them for a fantastic game. I'm very happy for our supporters. It was a great atmosphere at White Hart Lane."

"We said 'keep going in the same way' because we didn't deserve to be 1-0 down," he said. "It was a brilliant game and we fully deserved the victory.

"Our performance was great because in front of us was a tough team like Arsenal. It's always a special game. We showed a special energy and it's important to keep this feeling.
