Tottenham murder: Police name victim as 35-year-old Polish national Pawel Chwalinski
Metropolitan Police investigating the murder of a man in Tottenham on Tuesday (17 November have named the victim as 35-year-old Polish national Pawel Chwalinski. A post-mortem examination carried out at Haringey Mortuary gave the cause of his death as blunt force trauma to the head and neck.
On Wednesday (18 November) detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command division of the Metropolitan Police, led by Detective Chief Inspector Jamie Piscopo, arrested a 44-year-old man on suspicion of murder. He has been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in early December. A 28-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday (20 November). He remains in custody at a north London police station. Next of kin have been informed of the identity of the dead man.
Police had been called by a member of the public at approximately 18:00 (BST) on Tuesday reporting that the body of a man had been found near Park View Road, Tottenham. The London Ambulance Service was called to the incident but Chwalinski was pronounced dead at the scene.
Metropolitan Police detectives have asked to speak with anyone who knew the deceased.
