TOWIE star Jake Hall in hospital after alleged Marbella nightclub stabbing
The Only Way Is Essex star Jake Hall is in hospital after an alleged stabbing at a Marbella nightclub. The 24-year-old is said to be holidaying at the popular Spanish resort with friends, but a source told The Daily Star that he is being treated amid "fears over his kidney" following the incident at nightspot Aqwa Mist on Sunday (29 May).
Hall, who is best known for his for his on/off tumultuous relationship with co-star Chloe Lewis on the ITVBe show, is thought to be with fellow TOWIE stars Nicola Bass and Megan McKenna at the party destination. The star's rep told the newspaper: "Jake is in hospital in Marbella. However, I cannot confirm any further details at this time."
Fellow partygoers have taken to Twitter following the attack, with many speculating whether it was Hall who was in fact stabbed. One reveller wrote: "Thought Marbs was gunna be posh, guys getting stabbed in front of me in ocean mist [sic]."
Another Twitter user replied to the post with: "@MitchMatthewss just seen your tweet on the Dailey star website about Marbella stabbing was it jake hall who was stabbed?"
McKenna, who was romantically linked to Hall in one of her most explosive storylines since joining the show after her Celebrity Big Brother stint, didn't express concern on her Twitter profile in the hours following the reported assault, writing: "Who the f*ck pulls out a box of strawberrys at the airport at the luggage belt. People are so annoying," along with video clips of herself and friends in a swimming pool.
Hall's rep, Chloe McGee, told IBTimes UK: "We can confirm that Jake is currently receiving hospital treatment. He is stable and hoping for a speedy recovery but has requested privacy at this time."
Since joining TOWIE, Hall has been signed as a model with Select and seen his fashion luxury brand, Prévu London, flourish in popularity. He has been accused of cheating on long-term girlfriend Lewis several times and is renowned for his unpredictable temperament.
